A farmer has said luck probably saved hundreds of his cattle from a huge fire last night.
Philip Betty's barn went up in flames last night (September 26) destroying around 100 tonnes of hay.
Fire crews spent all night trying to stop the fire spreading and were still at North Lane Farm in Othery on Monday morning.
A barn which is used to house some of his 300 head of cattle has been destroyed.
But the 55-year-old farmer said it could have been much worse.
